I sit here till the wee hours (which usually spells trouble for me)wondering if I want to add another puggle baby to my fold.
What worries me is 1st a selfish one..I couldnt have another child so Lainey IS my second child. If I bring in another puggle will I loose Lainey will she want to be with the new puppy and not me.....Do I REALLY want to split my attention and affections to another baby. AS MUCH as I would take a car load of these most LOVING creatures, do I want to share?
Since our oldest Jade passed away in October, Chloe (our Lab)has aged she will be 9 in Five more days and is VERY lonely. She has really just started playing with Lainey and doing things with her....If I add another puggle and NOT a bigger dog for her, will she withdraw even more.
Would I LOVE more babies? Absolutely!!! Will it be Fair to my girls...Thats the MILLION dollar question that has kept me up for two nights running!

My mommy goes through the same thing! She wants another friend for me, but is afraid it will disrupt my oh so perfect puggle life! BOL! And of course, hers. I am a perfect fit in the family and Mommy is afraid a second puggle could really change things. I think that for Chloe's sake, a third dog might be too much for her right now. Maybe wait a few years, and enjoy the time you have with Chloe and Lainey now! Good luck!

don't think you can go wrong rescuing a puggle! ;)
ReplyDeleteRescuing another dog provides an open foster home for another pup looking for a chance at a new life. Trust me girl, I know how this all works. Know that dogs live in the now, not in the past, not wondering whats going to happen in the future, but now. I often wish I could live the same way - because it would be free of worry, regret, etc.
ReplyDeleteOnly you know in your heart if you personally want another pup. You understand your situation better than anyone reading a blog post.
Listen to your heart and you'll do what's right. Your fur-kids will be happy either way.
Peace.
